The initial assessment typically takes 45–60 minutes, though complex presentations may extend across two or three appointments to allow for a thorough review. No particular preparation is required, though it is helpful to bring any previous letters, hospital discharge summaries, or a list of current medications and doses.
Dr Kenchaiah does not currently offer telehealth video consultations. Telephone consultations may be arranged between face-to-face appointments where clinically appropriate.
You are welcome to bring a family member, carer, or support person if you feel this would be helpful. Please advise the rooms in advance so arrangements can be made. There may be parts of the consultation where Dr Kenchaiah speaks with you privately. Family involvement will only occur with your consent.
Appointment times are reserved specifically for each patient. If you are unable to attend, please contact the rooms as early as possible and no later than 24 hours before your appointment, so the time can be offered to another patient.
This is a private specialist practice. All consultations attract a gap fee above the Medicare rebate. Current amounts are available from the rooms — please contact Delmont admin on 03 9834 3600 before your appointment. You will be responsible for any costs not covered by Medicare or your health fund, including late cancellation and non-attendance fees.
Your personal information is collected to provide you with medical care and is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Information will only be used or disclosed in connection with your care, or as required or permitted by law. You may request access to your records or raise a privacy concern by contacting the rooms in writing.
